We are glad to announce that Prof. Alessandro Mantelero will be our guest on the 13th of July, 2020 in "IT Talks: The Approach of the EU and the Council of Europe Towards AI"! He will be talking about both to the ongoing work of the EU and the Council of Europe on AI regulation.

Alessandro Mantelero is Associate Professor of Private Law and Data Ethics & Data Protection at the Polytechnic University of Turin. He is Council of Europe Scientific Expert on Artificial Intelligence, data protection and human rights (Ad Hoc Committee on Artificial Intelligence – CAHAI, Convention 108–Consultative Committee). He has served as an expert on data regulation for several national and international organizations, including the United Nations, the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights, the European Commission, the Italian Ministry of Justice, and the Italian Communications Authority (AGCOM). He has held visiting appointments in several universities, including Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University and Oxford Internet Institute at Oxford University. His research interests are in the field of law and technology, with a focus on personal data and human rights.
