Ayça Atabey is a graduate of Robert College and holds a bachelor degree from Durham University. She is currently working as a full-time specialist research assistant at the Information Technology Law Institute and is a PhD student at Edinburgh University in the UK. Her research mainly focuses on the challenges regarding personal data collection on mobile operating systems in the scope of GDPR. She has a particular interest in emerging technologies (digital trade, cloud computing, AI and machine learning, big data and IoT) and in Data Protection, especially in its intersection with fundamental rights.
