INET & Multistakeholder Internet Governance Meeting

Istanbul Bilgi University Information and Technology Law Institute is organizing a meeting on “INET & Multistakeholder Internet Governance”

In this context, Conference on "Internet: Privacy and Digital Content in a Global Context" will be held on May 21st ,2015 with the Internet Society (ISOC). The conference will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel Istanbul and the program can be accessed via https://www.internetsociety.org/inet-istanbul/ link. The 2 panels that are going to be discussed at the conference are: data protection and intellectual property. During the Keynote speech and the Panel for the Draft Personal Data Protection Law, which the Ministry of Justice has prepared, will be accompanied by our senior guests from the EU. Also, during the opening speech, our latest report which emphasizes that the enactment of the draft Data Protection Law, that is prepared with the cooperation of TEPAV will be launched.

Registration is required for participation in both conferences and registration is possible from the web sites of the conferences mentioned above.

On May 22, 2015, the Multistakeholder Internet Governance Conference will be held jointly by ICANN, ISOC, Berkman Klein Center and the Institute. The conference will be held between 09: 00-11: 30 at the Istanbul Bilgi University Kuştepe Campus BS. The conference's agenda can be reached at www.nocistanbul.com. Multi-Stakeholder Internet Governance is one of the key topics discussed around the world over the years. In this conference, which will be held as a continuation of the Net Mundial meeting held in Brazil in April to determine the scope and the principles of this model, the framework of the Multi-Stakeholder Internet Governance Model will be clarified further.
