Havelsan, Isaca Istanbul Chapter and Lostar Information Security Collaboration

Istanbul Bilgi University signed a collaboration protocol with Havelsan, Isaca Istanbul Chapter and Lostar Information Security for the “Cyber Security and Software Technologies Associate Degree Program”. As part of this new step to strengthen university and industry collaboration, the Program’s students will gain more experience through experts in the industry. The signing ceremony was held on 13th of December 2016 at Kozyatağı Campus.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Bilgi University, Çağrı Bağcıoğlu, Deputy Rector Murat Borovalı, Deputy Director of Vocational High School. Assoc. Dr. Prof. Uğur Başer, the Director of the Information Technology Law Institute, Leyla Keser, Havelsan General Manager Ahmet Hamdi Atalay, Isaca Istanbul Chapter’s President Assoc. Dr. Izzet Gökhan Özbilgin, and Lostar Information Security General Manager Murat Lostar attended to the signing ceremony.

BILGI students to gain more experience in the sector

Within the scope of the Collaboration Protocol, at Istanbul Bilgi University Cyber Security and Software Technologies Associate Degree Programs; with the partnership of Havelsan, Isaca Istanbul Chapter and Lostar Information Security, CO-OP (Cooperative Education) Training Model will be implemented. The model that integrates education and business practice, will help students to gain sectoral experience. In the scope of the collaboration, students will be able to carry out projects in consultation with company experts, take courses from company professionals and will be able to conduct long or short-term internships, as well as conduct their capstone projects.
