The Network of Centers (NoC), created by Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center in 2012 with 60 participating members, held its European Hub meeting last week at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society in Berlin, Germany. Elif Sert, the IT Law institutes research assistant, joined the meeting on “Algorithmic Decision Making and its Human Rights Implications” on the 12th and 13th of October.
The main purpose of the event was to update participating centers on the latest NoC developments along with developing a strategy and objectives for future collaborative projects. Panel discussions also took place on topics like Ethics and accountability questions of artificial intelligence and AI innovations in the human rights discourse.
